Haynes Boone Awarded First Platinum Bell Seal for Workplace Mental Health

May 4, 2026

Mental Health America recently awarded Haynes Boone its 2026 Platinum Bell Seal for Workplace Mental Health, marking the firm’s first time achieving the program’s highest level of recognition. The Platinum certification reflects Haynes Boone’s continued commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive workplace culture aligned with leading industry best practices and builds on the Gold-level recognition received in 2024 and 2025.

Through the Bell Seal for Workplace Mental Health program, Mental Health America conducts a rigorous and holistic evaluation of employer practices related to mental health and overall employee well-being. Organizations are evaluated across four key areas: workplace culture, mental health benefits, compliance with mental health standards and holistic wellness initiatives.

This year, Haynes Boone advanced to Platinum-level certification with an overall score of 92 percent, the highest score the firm has received to date and well above the national employer average of 51 percent.

In reaching this milestone, Haynes Boone demonstrated outstanding performance across all four categories evaluated by Mental Health America, including workplace culture (93 percent), benefits that support mental health (96 percent), caring beyond compliance (90 percent) and holistic wellness at work (91 percent).

Advancing to Platinum level reflects the firm’s deliberate, firmwide approach to workplace mental health and well-being. This progress recognizes that lasting impact requires shared responsibility across leadership, operations, benefits and professional development teams, as well as continued investment in expanded offerings. Over the past year, Haynes Boone enhanced benefits supporting employees and their families through its partnership with Cariloop, an industry leader in caregiver support, as well as additional resources designed to address a broad range of personal and workplace needs.

With nearly one in four U.S. adults serving as caregivers, caregiving demands are a growing mental health consideration in the workplace. Through Cariloop, Haynes Boone provides employees with personalized guidance and expert resources that help reduce stress and support engagement at work.

“We are intentional each year about expanding HB Well to ensure our resources meaningfully support our people,” Haynes Boone Director of Well-Being Abby Read said “Achieving Platinum recognition reflects the collective work happening across the firm and reinforces our goal to support our people with benefits that meet their needs, leading to healthier employees and stronger business outcomes.”

The firm’s global HB Well program supports more than 1,300 employees worldwide through resources and initiatives grounded in empathy and evidence-based practices. The program takes a holistic approach to well-being, supporting physical, mental, financial, social, intellectual and spiritual health, and is designed to align with the firm’s well-being goals and values.

In addition to the Platinum Bell Seal certification, Haynes Boone continues to receive recognition for its wellness programming from organizations including Cigna, Healthiest Employers of America and the Wellness Alliance, reflecting the firm’s ongoing investment in employee health and well-being.
