Craig Unterberg Elected to American Jewish Committee Executive Council

May 21, 2025

Haynes Boone’s New York Office Managing Partner Craig Unterberg has been elected to the Executive Council of the American Jewish Committee (AJC), where he will take on the role of chair of leadership development.

AJC is a leading global Jewish advocacy organization, dedicated to confronting antisemitism and advancing human rights and democratic values in the United States and around the world.

“It’s an honor to hold this position at AJC," Unterberg said. "I look forward to continuing to be highly involved in furthering AJC’s mission and fostering the next generation of AJC leaders.”

Unterberg has been involved with AJC for over 25 years, including serving as president of the New York Regional Office from 2017-2020.

Unterberg leads the Haynes Boone Margin Lending and Structured Equity Practice Group and is widely recognized as a market leader in margin stock, NAV facilities and structured equity transactions. Earlier this year, he filed an amicus brief with the U.S. Supreme Court in Miriam Fuld, et al. v. Palestine Liberation Organization, et al., supporting the rights of American victims of terrorism to seek justice under the Promoting Security and Justice for Victims of Terrorism Act.

Under Unterberg’s leadership, the Haynes Boone New York office has grown by leaps and bounds, including adding five new partners already in 2025 as preparations are underway for a move within 30 Rockefeller Plaza to three newly remodeled floors.
