Haynes Boone Partner Ann Al-Bahish has been selected as a 2022 Houston Business Journal (HBJ) Women Who Mean Business honoree.
The HBJ Women Who Mean Business Awards recognize women leaders who have demonstrated excellence in their careers and community. The awards honor women across 12 industry categories plus the Woman to Watch category. Ann is listed among the Outstanding Business Leaders in Law.
The awards are based on career achievement, contribution to company and city success, community involvement, and leadership. All of the honorees will be recognized in a special section of the HBJ next month and during an in-person awards luncheon on Oct. 20 in Houston.
Ann litigates environmental and commercial matters across the country and has tried cases in both state and federal courts, before juries and judges. Her clients have included railroads, energy companies, manufacturers, healthcare entities, retailers, real estate investors and developers, start-ups and state governments. She has also advised clients on business and change management strategies related to environmental issues.
As an attorney with a Ph.D., Ann is highly adept in presenting, analyzing and explaining scientific and technical expert testimony evidence, and concepts. Ann also dedicates substantial time to providing pro bono legal services, is a member of the firm’s pro bono and public service committee and was recognized by the State Bar of Texas for her provision of legal services to underserved people. She currently serves of the boards of The Rose, the Houston Area Women’s Center, Doctors for Change, and Bloomsday Literary and is an associate board member and former board chair of Healthcare for the Homeless-Houston, as well as a member of the Texas and Houston Bar Foundations.
