July 30, 2026

The Institute for Energy Law (IEL) has selected Haynes Boone Associate Liz Felicidario to join its 2026-27 Leadership Class, a year-long program that brings together emerging leaders from across the energy industry. Now in its ninth year, the program represents a broad cross-section of the energy sector and includes 40 professionals from eight states across the U.S., in addition to Washington, D.C., Mexico, Switzerland and Venezuela.

Beginning in August, class members will participate in virtual orientation sessions, leadership development programming, educational webinars and networking opportunities designed to enhance their professional skills and industry knowledge. The program also includes an in-person retreat in September and opportunities to build lasting relationships with peers and leaders throughout the energy community.

"I am honored to be selected for the IEL Leadership Class and excited to learn from such a talented group of professionals," said Felicidario. "I look forward to strengthening my leadership skills, expanding my industry perspective and building meaningful connections with colleagues from across the industry."

Felicidario is an associate in the Energy, Power and Natural Resources Practice Group in Haynes Boone's Houston office. Her practice focuses on a broad range of energy transactions involving crude oil, natural gas, coal and renewable energy. She advises clients on energy finance matters, hedging transactions, asset-backed securitizations, reserve-based lending and the acquisition and disposition of oil and gas properties.

Most recently, Felicidario was part of the Haynes Boone team that advised Diversified Energy Company on an $850 million asset-backed securitization refinancing, a significant transaction in the evolving energy ABS market.

Founded in 1959, the Institute for Energy Law is a division of The Center for American and International Law. IEL is a leading membership organization for energy professionals and provides a forum for education, professional development and discussion of issues affecting the global energy industry through conferences, publications and networking programs.
