Haynes Boone Partner Madelyn Calabrese has been named one of the 50 Leading Women in Hedge Funds 2026 by The Hedge Fund Journal, recognizing her contributions to the alternative investments industry and her work advising private funds, asset managers and other financial institutions.
A longstanding member of Haynes Boone’s Investment Management Practice Group, Calabrese co-chairs the firm’s Investment Adviser Regulatory Compliance and Broker-Dealer Regulatory practices. She advises private investment funds, asset managers, family offices and financial institutions on fund formation, regulatory compliance and operational matters.
“I am honored to be recognized alongside so many accomplished women who are making an impact across the hedge fund and alternative investments industry,” Calabrese said. “I’m especially grateful to the clients and colleagues who have given me the opportunity to work on challenging matters and to contribute to the continued growth of this industry.”
In addition to her client work, Calabrese serves as Haynes Boone’s New York Office Entry Level Hiring Partner, where she helps recruit law students and recent graduates for the firm’s summer associate and entry-level associate programs. She also supports the development of future lawyers through the firm’s professional development initiatives.
“Madelyn has built an exceptional practice advising clients across the investment management industry, and this recognition reflects the depth of her work and her leadership in the field,” said Haynes Boone New York Office Managing Partner Craig Unterberg. “She is also deeply committed to developing the next generation of Haynes Boone lawyers, making this recognition particularly meaningful for our firm.”
The 2026 edition marks the 14th edition of The Hedge Fund Journal’s 50 Leading Women in Hedge Funds report. The annual report recognizes women in senior investment and noninvestment roles across the alternative investments industry, including professionals in portfolio management, risk, research, legal and compliance, human resources and other leadership functions.
