Since our founding almost 50 years ago, Haynes Boone has had an abiding faith in long-term planning. In 2005, we created a 2020 Plan that long guided our national and international expansion. Several years ago, we recognized it was time to update the plan and sketch out specific, ambitious goals that would carry the firm through 2025. We picked a shorter horizon for our next planning document in recognition of the fact that the pace of change has accelerated in the industry, driven by technology and increased competition in all of the markets where we do business.
Our firm’s new 2025 Plan deftly captures our strategic goals and has won widespread support among lawyers and staff. It was not an easy process, however, so I would like to share the steps we took to achieve consensus.
