Harry Chapman
Harry Chapman is an associate in the Real Estate Practice Group in Haynes Boone’s London office.
He has a broad range of experience across all areas of commercial real estate, in particular investment, commercial and residential development and regeneration projects, and real estate finance. Harry’s work includes a variety of asset classes, including logistics, offices, retail, care homes, build to rent and other residential.
Harry regularly acts for institutional investors, funds and family-owned investors on single-asset and portfolio acquisitions and disposals, as well as the full range of asset management transactions. He also has experience acting for occupier clients, including on Central London office lettings, and acting for both lenders and borrowers on the financing of a range of real estate assets.
• Acted on the £31m sale of a mixed-use asset comprising 135 build to rent units and 3 commercial units on behalf of a UK fund.
• Acted for a UK developer on the forward funding of a phase of a wider development in East London which will comprise 375 purpose built student accommodation bedrooms.
• Acted for a London-based real estate investor on a portfolio acquisition of 9 assets for £60m.
• Acted on the acquisition of a newly developed logistics site for Cadogan Income Properties Limited (Fund Manager: Swiss Life, previously known as Mayfair Capital) for £35.2m.
• Acted on the purchase of a site in South-East London for a major UK real estate investor for £30.9m with a view to developing for logistics use.
• Acted on the financing of 25 care home assets to a syndicate of lenders as security for a £150m revolving credit facility.
• Advised a UK investor on the acquisition of a newly developed build to rent tower in Newcastle.
• Acted on the purchase of two newly constructed senior living developments for M&G for £69m.
• Negotiated and completed a 1954 Act lease renewal of a single let superstore to one of the UK’s largest supermarkets and led on the freehold sale of the same on behalf of a major UK real estate company.
