Fergal Coney
Fergal Coney is an associate in the Investment Management Practice Group in Haynes Boone’s London office.
His practice focuses on fund formation mandates and related legal services. Fergal acts for fund managers, corporates and investors on the establishment of funds, carry schemes and on co-investments.
Fergal’s practice also includes advising on general corporate matters such as representing companies and investors during Seed and Series A fundraising.
He also has experience assisting with reorganisations and multijurisdictional M&A matters.
Prior to joining Haynes Boone, Fergal worked in the alternative asset management sector and in the corporate department of another major international law firm.
- Advising an EU focused fund of funds on fund formation mandates.
- Provided advice to a family office on its investment in the Agrifood sector.
- Advising an early-stage tech investment manager, on fund formation mandates.
- Assisted with the sale of a UK regulated fintech/financial services provider by a large private equity-investing firm.
