Biography

Autumn Highsmith is a Counsel in the Litigation Practice Group in Haynes Boone’s Dallas office and serves as the firm’s Assistant General Counsel.

Autumn has more than fifteen years of experience representing debtors, creditors, asset purchasers, litigation parties, and government agencies in complex bankruptcy and restructuring matters both as an attorney at the firm and as an Assistant Attorney General in the Bankruptcy and Collections Division of the Texas Office of the Attorney General.

Autumn has represented clients in many major bankruptcy cases, including LTL Management LLC, American Airlines, Erickson Incorporated, Transcoastal Corporation, Cornerstone E&P, Guaranty Financial Group, Inc., Lothian Oil, Inc., and the Chapter 11 bankruptcy case of Dallas businessman Sam Wyly.

Autumn has a passion for helping high school students develop an understanding of the legal process and volunteers as an attorney coach for local mock trial teams.
