Biography

Sabreena Khalid is counsel in the Capital Markets and Securities Practice Group at Haynes Boone’s New York office. She represents financial sponsors and their portfolio companies, financial institutions, private funds, and private credit lenders on a broad range of financing transactions, with a particular focus on leveraged financings and fund financings.

Sabreena advises market-leading financial sponsors, public companies, private equity funds, and their portfolio companies on complex financing strategies and event-driven transactions. Her experience includes structuring and negotiating fund financings, acquisition financings, collateralized fund obligations, take-private transactions, and restructurings, delivering practical solutions for sophisticated capital needs.

Her fund-level financing experience includes syndicated and bilateral facilities; subscription (capital call) and NAV facilities for funds and their parallel funds, alternative investment vehicles, and portfolio companies; hybrid facilities; aftercare facilities; and fund guarantees and other credit support arrangements across fund portfolios. She is known for combining technical precision with a practical, deal-driven approach in fast-moving transactions.
