Justin Manchester

Justin Manchester is an associate in the Litigation Practice Group in Haynes Boone’s Dallas office. He represents clients in complex trial and appellate litigation, drawing on experience in private practice, government service, and federal judicial chambers. Justin served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Ryan D. Nelson of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the Honorable Jeremy D. Kernodle of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.

Before entering private practice, Justin served as a Coleman Fellow in the Office of the Solicitor General of Texas. In that role, he represented the State of Texas in appellate proceedings, assuming significant responsibility for litigation strategy and drafting briefs and petitions filed in state and federal courts, including the Supreme Court of the United States and the Supreme Court of Texas. His experience in private practice, government service, and federal judicial chambers enables him to assess disputes from multiple perspectives and understand how early strategic decisions can affect the course of a matter from investigation through trial and appeal—or help clients avoid litigation entirely.

Justin enjoys unraveling complex factual issues and bringing clarity to unresolved legal questions. He brings that focus to representing clients in complex commercial litigation, government investigations, and appellate proceedings. Outside his practice, he enjoys traveling, reading historical biographies, and preparing specialty coffee for friends and family.
