Biography

Claire Nelson is an associate in the Insurance Litigation Practice Group in Haynes Boone's Washington, D.C. office. Her practice focuses on insurance recovery and crisis management, where she assists clients across a range of industries in navigating complex insurance coverage matters and crisis response strategies.

Prior to law school, Claire built a strong foundation in health care and the sciences. This interdisciplinary background gives her a unique perspective in her legal practice, particularly when advising clients in the healthcare and life sciences industries on complex insurance coverage and crisis management matters. Claire is dedicated to supporting clients in navigating these challenges, and she is committed to delivering thoughtful, strategic solutions and growing within a collaborative, dynamic legal environment.

Claire continues her involvement in the health industry as a member of the Brem Foundation to Defeat Breast Cancer's Young Professional Advisory Council (BYPAC), a group of emerging leaders dedicated to championing early detection of breast cancer through innovation, education, equitable access, and targeted advocacy.
