Alexandra Ueno-Park
Biography
Alexandra Ueno-Park is a partner in the Tax Practice Group at Haynes Boone’s London office and leads the firm’s UK tax services. Alex advises on corporate and international tax matters, including cross-border and multi-currency issues, and supports legal, tax and operational workstreams that require coordination across jurisdictions. Her work often involves aligning tax analysis with the commercial objectives of management teams, investors and other stakeholders.
Alex focuses on advising fast-growing businesses on tax considerations connected to growth, operational efficiency initiatives, international expansion and exit planning. She draws on her legal, tax and operational project experience to provide integrated, practical guidance across functions and jurisdictions.
She brings a combined private practice and in-house perspective to tax issues that arise throughout a company’s lifecycle. Beyond private practice - which includes qualifying at a top international law firm and a Big 4 accountancy - Alex brings valuable in-house corporate perspective. She previously served as Head of Legal & Compliance for an FCA-regulated firm and as General Counsel for a private company.
Alex combines deep sector knowledge with a pragmatic, business-focused approach. More than a tax lawyer, she’s a trusted advisor who understands the complexities of both tax and business and is committed to helping clients navigate complex corporate landscapes with confidence.

What types of tax matters do you focus on?
As a rare generalist tax advisor, I cover all types of taxes while maintaining a focus on corporate and international tax, including cross-border issues that arise in day-to-day operations and transactions. Businesses bring me in to ensure their tax strategy seamlessly supports commercial decisions (across multiple jurisdictions).
How do you support fast-growing businesses?
I support fast-growing businesses through key stages of the company lifecycle, including growth initiatives, operational efficiency projects, international expansion and exit planning. Where a project spans multiple workstreams, I often act as a strategic advisor, assisting businesses with the legal, tax, and operational steps and supporting critical commercial decision-making.
What should clients expect when a project involves multiple jurisdictions?
I have extensive experience in coordinating cross-functional teams across multiple jurisdictions and keeping the tax workstream aligned with the wider project plan. My goal is to help stakeholders make decisions with a clear view of trade-offs, timing, and implementation steps.
