Haynes and Boone, LLP Partner Raghav Bajaj has been selected as a recipient of the South Asian Bar Association of North America’s (SABA’s) 2020 Rising Star Award. He was honored during the SABA Virtual Conference on June 27.
The Rising Star Award recognizes a lawyer who is under 40 years old or has been practicing for less than 10 years. The recipients exemplify a range of high achievement in their practice areas, innovation, leadership, legal and community service and commitment to diversity.
The SABA serves as the umbrella organization for regional South Asian Bar Associations and South Asian legal professionals throughout North America. SABA seeks to strengthen the rapidly growing South Asian legal community with a recognized and trusted forum for professional growth and advancement and promotes civil rights and access to justice for the South Asian community.
Bajaj is a partner in the Intellectual Property Practice Group in Haynes and Boone’s Austin office. His practice focuses on patent office trials before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB), including inter partes review (IPR) and covered business method (CBM) review proceedings, representing both petitioners and patent owners. He handles all phases of patent office trials, and has served as counsel in more than 50 proceedings.
