Haynes and Boone Partner Craig Unterberg Selected for Keystone Fellowship

Haynes and Boone, LLP congratulates Partner Craig Unterberg on his recent selection to the 2017 Keystone Fellowship Program, a leadership program that brings together leaders and philanthropists from the Jewish communities, sponsored by the Council of Jewish Émigré Community Organizations (COJECO), the UJA Federation of New York and the NYU Wagner School of Public Service. After a rigorous application and interview process guided by the Keystone Steering Committee, 20 outstanding candidates have been selected for the fellowship.

The highly selective program brings together a collaborative group of diverse Jewish activists, representing the broad array of organizations and affiliations within the Jewish community of New York. Upon completion of this fellowship, the cohorts will receive a graduate certificate from the NYU Wagner School of Public Service.

At the firm, Unterberg is the chair of Haynes and Boone's Finance Section, and heads up the firm's New York-based Prime Brokerage and Equity Lending Practice Group. As a leading authority on the U.S. margin regulations, Unterberg provides extensive regulatory advice on margin lending issues to a multitude of financial institutions and hedge funds. He has worked on an industry-leading number of single stock and portfolio loan transactions to hedge funds, investment companies, and private equity groups making him a market leader in handling complex onshore and offshore margin facilities.

In addition, Unterberg represents borrowers and lenders in the private equity, leveraged lending, asset based and M&A financing spaces. He also spends significant time handling loan restructurings and DIP facilities. Unterberg regularly leads national CLE presentations on margin loans, intercreditor agreements, forbearance agreements and bankruptcy matters relating to lending transactions.
