Juristat included Haynes and Boone, LLP in its report on the patent law firms that have experienced the most growth in applications over the last decade. With 120.53% organic growth in its patent prosecution practice, Haynes and Boone was featured among the top 25 firms during 2009-2018.
In compiling the list, Juristat analyzed growth in applications from medium-to-large law firms from 2009 to 2018. The analysis is limited to utility and plant applications, excluding design patents, reissues, re-examinations, and provisional applications.
“It’s worth noting that our high-growth firms bested the USPTO average for both allowance rate and time to disposition. For applications filed in 2018, these 25 firms have an average allowance rate of 92% and time to disposition of 17 months, compared to the USPTO averages of 78% and 27.7 months,” Juristat noted. “These 25 firms show exceptional progress.
