As Legal Counsel, North America for Charlotte Tilbury you will report directly to the AVP, Head of Legal, North America. You will provide legal support in North America and also support on an ad hoc basis with Latin America delivering to the business the very highest standards of legal advice and regulatory compliance, whilst supporting the business with its international growth.
You will support with negotiating and drafting a wide range of commercial contracts relating to retailers (bricks & mortar and e-commerce), creative services, VIP and talent, partnerships, sponsorship, endorsements, IP licences, procurement framework agreements and statements of work across all functions (e.g., supply chain, store design, visual merchandising, events, etc.). You will also be responsible for advising on marketing campaigns across all media, product packaging, brand and product collaboration and consumer law, including but not limited to FTC endorsement and green guides, FDA MoCRA and regional data privacy compliance.
As required, you will assist other areas of the business and legal team on a broad range of legal matters, including litigation, digital and technology (including AI).
You will also support the legal team to develop and enhance effective working processes with the business to ensure that the business’ objectives are achieved within appropriate timescales and with the relevant stakeholder approval.
The Sr. Counsel, Intellectual Property within the Brands and Content IP team will provide strategic legal guidance and oversight on IP issues arising from content production, brand development and global expansion initiatives. They will serve as a key advisor to senior business leaders and collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to protect and enhance NBCUniversal’s IP assets.
Responsibilities:
- Counsel and collaborate with senior creative, business and legal executives and cross-functional teams on trademark, copyright, domain name and related IP matters, including innovative products and services, global brand launches and high-profile productions
- Responsible for clearance of titles, trademarks, character names and content-related assets for client businesses and strategic initiatives
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders on complex, multi-layered issues requiring immediate decisions
- Manage prosecution and enforcement of trademarks and other IP assets, both domestically and internationally
- Conduct due diligence and integration of IP assets in mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures
- Collaborate with BCIP colleagues in other regions to handle the brand protection and enforcement of NBCUniversal brands, for matters such as counterfeit takedowns, impersonation claims, infringements and customs seizures
- Handle domain name acquisitions and UDRP’s for client businesses
- Work with the rest of the department to support the overall intellectual property protection efforts of the company
The Counsel, Intellectual Property role will be responsible for intellectual property questions arising from the production of content or creation of brands within NBCUniversal businesses.
Responsibilities:
- Counsel and collaborate with senior creative, business and legal executives and cross-functional teams on trademark, copyright, domain name and related IP matters, including innovative products and services, global brand launches, theme park attractions and television productions
- Responsible for clearance of titles, brand names, logos, designs and other assets for client businesses and strategic initiatives

- Manage prosecution and enforcement of trademarks and other IP assets, both domestically and internationally
- Conduct due diligence and integration of IP assets in mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures
- Responsible for enforcement and brand protection related to client businesses, including sending cease and desist letters, handling takedowns on social media and ecommerce platforms, and dealing with scams and impersonations
- Handle domain name acquisitions and UDRP’s for client businesses
- Work with the rest of the department to support the overall intellectual property protection efforts of the company
NBCUniversal is seeking an Intellectual Property Clearance Analyst to support the Brands and Content, Intellectual Property team with the global clearance process. Proficiency with trademark clearance or general intellectual property practice is preferred.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for domestic and international trademark and title clearance for films, television series, theme parks, and consumer products as well as related areas across all NBCUniversal businesses
Conduct research to identify any trademark or production clearance issues on submissions including domestic and foreign titles, trademarks, fictitious characters, locations, artwork designs and more
Indexing, tracking and record keeping of submitted materials
Communicate and manage the clearance process with clients and internal teams
Conduct investigations on potential IP enforcement targets
Work with the rest of the department by on intellectual property projects as needed
The VP/Senior Counsel – Distribution Legal role will provide advice and support with respect to the negotiation and management of Versant’s distribution relationships for its portfolio of linear and digital properties. Primary responsibilities of the Distribution Sales & Partnership group are:
- Distribution of the Versant portfolio of television networks, including the NBC and Telemundo owned television stations, national cable networks (MSNBC, CNBC, USA, E!, Syfy, Golf, and Oxygen) and related digital content to a wide range of companies, spanning MVPDs, virtual MVPDs, and OTT/streaming platforms.
- Distribution of Versant’s free ad-supported streaming (FAST) channels to connected TV and mobile device-associated platforms (e.g., The Roku Channel, FreeVee, Samsung TV Plus) as well as standalone FAST platforms (e.g., Tubi, Pluto TV, Plex).
- All other third-party distribution of Versant’s sports, news and entertainment content, as well as new partnerships and accretive transactions related to that content.
In addition to drafting and negotiating these agreements, the VP/Senior Counsel – Distribution Legal role will be responsible for partnering with internal business units (e.g., marketing, finance) and their legal teams to align distribution priorities with companywide objectives as well as provide advice and ensure compliance with respect to current agreements.
The Associate Counsel/Counsel –Distribution role will support the SVP-Distribution Legal with respect to the lines of business that are negotiated and managed by the Versant Distribution Sales & Partnership team:
