Haynes and Boone, LLP Partner Kraig Grahmann was quoted in a Midland Reporter-Telegram article on the Energy Transactions Practice Group's latest Borrowing Base Redeterminations Survey.
“I think lenders are aware of future demand (scenarios) and price decks,” Grahmann said. But while they’re aware of market fundamentals, he said they’re still very conservative and cautious. He explained that lenders have seen several downcycles – 2015 to 2016 and 2020 to 2021 – in which they lost money.
