Albert Tan Featured in Wildgen Fund Finance Webinar Series

Haynes and Boone, LLP Partner Albert Tan this week was featured in a webinar titled “Fund Finance Experts Talks,” hosted by Wildgen Luxembourg Law Firm. Tan is co-chair of Haynes Boone's Fund Finance Practice.

The webinar is the latest installment of Wildgen’s Fund Finance Webinar Series. In the episode, Tan talks with Wildgen Director Michael Mbayi about the similarities and differences between the U.S. and Asia fund finance markets. Tan also shares tips for breaking boundaries and excelling in fund finance and ways to build an elite fund finance team.

Tan serves as a member of Haynes Boone’s five-person Appointments Committee, which appoints and oversees the firm’s executive, strategic leadership and management roles; the Board of Directors; Partners Compensation Committee; and Strategic Growth Committee.

Now in his 28th year of practice, Tan has helped paved the way for the growth of the fund finance markets, particularly in the US and Asia. He has represented investment and commercial banks as agents and arrangers in more than 600 subscription-secured credit facilities with total value of over $150 billion to real estate, infrastructure, debt, buyout, and energy private capital funds across Asia, Europe and North America.

Tan is a regular speaker and moderator of discussions about fund finance and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) topics. Last year, the Minority Corporate Counsel Association (MCCA) recognized Tan with an MCCA Rainmaker Award, which recognizes exceptional, diverse attorneys from across the U.S. whose outstanding leadership, business acumen, passion and dedication to proactive client development has set them apart as leaders in the legal profession. In 2019, The National Law Journal selected Tan to its inaugural 35-person group of Finance, Banking and Capital Markets Trailblazers.
