Litigator Deb Coldwell Elected to Executive Committee for National Women Attorney Organization

October 19, 2023

Haynes and Boone, LLP Partner Deb Coldwell has been elected to serve on the executive committee for the Center for Women in Law (CWIL) for a three-year term starting in fiscal year 2024.

CWIL is housed at The University of Texas at Austin School of Law and is a national resource devoted to the success of the entire spectrum of women in law, creating change in the legal profession to elevate female lawyers. The center helps women in law connect with peers and facilitates mentorship and advancement for those beginning their careers.

Deb, a UT School of Law grad herself, will serve on CWIL’s 12-member executive committee. She began volunteering with the center in 2019 and is part of its Champions Circle.

“The Center for Women in Law is about inclusion and equity in the legal profession,” Coldwell said. “It’s a privilege to continue to serve and help grow such a crucially important resource so future female attorneys face fewer barriers in their career paths.”

As an integral member of Haynes Boone’s litigation section, Deb represents franchisors, distributors, joint ventures, limited liability companies and partnerships in both trials and arbitrations. Just this year, she was recognized by D Magazine and included in its 2023 Best Lawyers in Dallas directory. Among other honors, Deb has ranked Band 1 nationwide (the highest tier) in Franchise Law in Chambers USA (Chambers & Partners).
