Haynes and Boone, LLP Counsel Darwin Bruce has been elected a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation in 2020.
Fellows are chosen for their outstanding professional achievements and their demonstrated commitment to the improvement of the justice system throughout Texas. Each year, one-third of 1% of Texas lawyers are invited to become Fellows. Once nominees are selected, they must be elected by the Texas Bar Foundation Board of Trustees.
The Texas Bar Foundation is the largest charitably funded bar foundation in the U.S. Founded in 1965, the organization uses contributions from its members to build a strong justice system for all Texans and has distributed more than $18 million to help nonprofit groups with a range of justice-related programs and services.
Bruce is a business leader, author, speaker, and corporate lawyer with extensive domestic and international experience in business organization, strategic planning, operations, and mergers and acquisitions. His practice focuses on corporate and mergers and acquisitions transactions. Bruce has been featured in D CEO Magazine in a profile about lead executives operating non-profit companies. His publications include the book “The Map to Entrepreneurship.”
Bruce has experience in all phases of business organization and management. He has handled several high stakes corporate and finance transactions in a broad range of industries, including media and entertainment, finance, healthcare, technology, consumer goods, and manufacturing. He works with entrepreneurs, business executives, and other leaders in their quest to manage all matters affecting corporate structure, strategic planning, and operations of their organizations. He has been a guest speaker at events in the United States and abroad. Common topics presented in speaking engagements include leadership, entrepreneurship, business strategy and planning, business management, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate compliance.
