Haynes Boone Energy Partner Ellen Conley has been listed in the Oil and Gas Investor Forty Under 40 list identifying emerging leaders in the energy industry.
The list aims to “showcase the up-and-coming talent that would shape the energy industry and propel it forward.” The publication praised the honorees as “driven, thoughtful, talented, already accomplished in their own right and prepared to lead the energy industry into a promising future.”
This recognition is a testament to Conley’s skill and leadership in the energy field, having already participated in the Institute for Energy Law’s (IEL’s) 2024-2025 Leadership class and serving on Hart Energy’s Advisory Council for the 2025 Energy Capital Conference.
"I am honored to be named in Oil and Gas Investor's Forty Under 40 List,” said Conley. “The Oil and Gas Investor is a leading source for coverage regarding the financial landscape of the oil and gas industry, and this recognition reflects the incredible support and mentorship I receive at Haynes Boone. I am grateful to work for a firm that provides me the space to continue to grow my career in the energy space.”
As a member of the Energy, Power and Natural Resources Practice Group in the Houston office, Conley handles energy finance matters, as well as the acquisition and disposition of oil and gas properties. She represents banks, private capital providers, and upstream and midstream energy companies on traditional debt and non-traditional financing transactions. Conley also assists oil and gas companies in acquisition and divestiture transactions through asset or equity sales, and with operational matters, including the review and negotiation of industry agreements. She has also been involved in several exploration and production bankruptcies and restructurings.
