Garrett Martin Named to Houston Young Lawyers Association Leadership Academy

Haynes Boone Associate Garrett Martin has been selected as a member of the 2022-2023 Houston Young Lawyers Association (HYLA) Leadership Academy.

Founded in 1937, the HYLA is a bar association for Houston law students and young lawyers ages 36 and under who have practiced for fewer than five years. With nearly 2,000 members, the association’s mission is to help its members learn, lead, network, and serve.

The Leadership Academy prepares young lawyers for leadership roles in HYLA and other organizations through a service-oriented leadership training program. Applicants are selected based on their leadership skills, abilities, and potential; achievements and accomplishments; and community and bar involvement.

 Most of Garrett’s practice focuses on representing clients in all facets of the oil and gas industry. He has particular experience in complex procedures as they relate to industry issues, including mass and class royalty actions in multiple federal and state courts.
