Haynes Boone Achieves Top-10 Rankings for Texas Capital Market Transactions in 2023

March 08, 2024

In its annual Corporate Deal Tracker report of Texas capital market transactions, The Texas Lawbook ranked Haynes and Boone, LLP seventh in Texas-led and eighth in Texas-related deal count. The rankings track capital market transactions handled by Texas lawyers regardless of whether the clients or the transactions were based in Texas. Haynes Boone was one of only nine firms to handle 20 or more offerings for various clients in Texas-related deals.

"The rankings reflect our team's dedication to excellence in navigating intricate offerings in the capital markets," said Matt Fry, co-chair of the Capital Markets and Securities Practice Group. "Our capital markets team has witnessed steady growth in recent years, facilitating a myriad of debt and equity offerings across various sectors, including financial services, life sciences, technology and energy. These transactions have ranged from initial public listings to creative and opportunistic financings for mature companies."

The Haynes Boone Capital Markets team recently represented Applied Optoelectronics, Inc. (AOI) as issuer’s counsel in its offering of approximately $80.2 million of 5.25 percent Convertible Senior Notes. The team also represented Eos Energy Enterprises, Inc. (NASDAQ: EOSE) in a $50 million underwritten public offering of shares of common stock and accompanying common warrants.

The Texas Lawbook rankings follow high marks for the Haynes Boone Capital Markets and Securities Group from The Deal, which placed the firm in all three of its legal categories that track private placements of equity and registered direct offerings of equity securities by publicly listed companies that result in gross cash proceeds to the company of at least $1 million.

The Haynes Boone Capital Markets and Securities Group provides comprehensive advice to clients traded on all major U.S. securities exchanges, over-the-counter markets, and many foreign markets, on a full range of securities transactions and reporting matters. The group has helped companies raise capital and comply with evolving securities laws and practices for more than four decades.
