Haynes Boone Named Law Firm of the Year Finalist by New York Law Journal; Associate Meica Green Also Shortlisted

July 9, 2026

The 2026 New York Legal Awards, presented by the New York Law Journal, have selected Haynes Boone as a finalist for Law Firm of the Year – Large Firms, placing the firm among the top contenders in one of the nation's premier legal markets.

Separately, Finance Associate Meica Green has been named as a finalist in the Most Promising Newcomer category, recognizing emerging attorneys who have made an early impact on the profession.

The annual awards recognize outstanding achievements across New York's legal industry, with finalists selected through a rigorous editorial and judging process that evaluates the most impactful work and emerging leaders.

The Law Firm of the Year recognition reflects Haynes Boone’s continued growth and impact in one of the world’s most competitive legal markets. The firm’s New York lawyers advise leading companies, financial institutions and investment funds on complex, high-value matters across finance, capital markets, restructuring, real estate, intellectual property, litigation and regulatory disciplines.

In 2025, the New York office strengthened its cutting-edge capabilities through several strategic lateral additions, launched its Data Centers and Digital Infrastructure Practice Group and relocated to an expanded office at 30 Rockefeller Plaza to support its continued growth. This momentum reflects a rare combination of sophisticated legal work, elite lateral talent, strong leadership and a deeply collaborative culture.

Green’s selection as a finalist reflects her outstanding early-career achievements representing financial institutions, companies and corporate borrowers in a broad range of corporate and fund finance transactions. She has played key roles in several significant matters, including Haynes Boone's representation of Royal Bank of Canada in a $1 billion margin loan facility and the firm’s representation of Commercial Metals Company in its $2 billion senior notes offering.

In addition to her practice, Green is an active mentor, recruiter and pro bono volunteer, demonstrating a commitment to both the profession and the community.

The winners will be announced during the New York Legal Awards dinner on Sept. 3. See the full list of finalists here
