Haynes Boone Unveils Newly Remodeled, State-of-the-Art Office at 30 Rockefeller Plaza, Marking a New Era of Growth in New York City

January 20, 2026

Haynes Boone is proud to announce the opening of its newly remodeled and significantly expanded office space at 30 Rockefeller Plaza, a milestone that reflects the firm’s rapid growth and continued investment in New York City, where it has maintained a presence for 22 years.

Now occupying 108,000 square feet across three floors (a 32,000 square-foot increase), the New York office has grown dramatically over the last year – adding 31 lateral attorneys in 2025 alone, more than any other office in the firm. This 35 percent growth in 2025 brought attorney headcount to 117 in New York, solidifying the office’s status as Haynes Boone’s second-largest worldwide.

“This is a transformational moment for our New York office,” said New York Office Managing Partner Craig Unterberg. “We have built a space that supports our future in one of the most competitive markets in the world. It’s a new environment that energizes our team and supports the way they want to work in today’s legal landscape.”

The redesigned space spans the entire 22nd and 23rd floors of 30 Rock, with the 25th floor set for completion later this year. The space features a 65 percent increase in the number of office spaces (up to 155), allowing for continued workforce expansion, and the new floors include large communal areas with soaring ceilings and expansive windows – rare assets in Midtown Manhattan, offering abundant natural light and fostering connection and collaboration. The upcoming completion of the 25th floor will include a speakeasy-style hospitality space behind a pocket door, cleverly designed to host exclusive client dinners and small private gatherings to further position the office as a center for both business and community.

“Creating modern space in a historic building like 30 Rock is a unique and meaningful achievement,” said Partner Madelyn Calabrese, who co-led the office design committee with Unterberg and Partners Alex Grishman and Sharon Baldasare. “It reflects our focus on creating inspiring environments for collaboration in spaces that honor the legacy and heritage of the city.”

The build-out reflects a forward-thinking approach: Attorneys’ offices, at 160 square feet each, are designed to function as hybrid spaces for in-office collaboration and seamless virtual communication. This layout reduces the need for as many small conference rooms and creates a thoughtful balance between privacy and openness.

The New York office’s recent growth has been driven by significant lateral additions across key practices, including finance, mergers and acquisitions, real estate, litigation, restructuring and white-collar crime. This momentum underscores the firm’s increasing market penetration and long-term investment in New York, supported by a modern office environment that enhances how Haynes Boone serves clients in one of the world’s most dynamic legal markets.
