Haynes and Boone, LLP Fund Finance Partner Holly Loftis has earned her second 40 under 40 award for 2023, as Private Equity International (“PEI”) has included her in its prestigious 40 Under 40: Future Leaders of Private Equity, class of 2023 released on May 2, 2023.
This annual list celebrates emerging talent in the private equity class and highlights individuals set to play a leading role in the PE market in the years ahead. The 40 PE professionals must be below the age of 40 and are selected by PEI based on the following criteria:
- Evidence of leadership and innovation;
- Caliber of the clients attorneys have worked with and the deals they have generated; and
- Whether they possess an “X factor” that marks them as a future leader in private equity.
The recipients are categorized as investors, dealmakers, fundraisers, operators and lawyers. In addition to Holly being named to the lawyer category, this year’s distinguished class includes winners from Ares Management, Partners Group, Apollo Global Management, Blackstone, Hamilton Lane, and EQT Partners.

This recognition follows Holly’s inclusion last month in Secured Finance Network’s (SFNet) 2023 40 Under 40 Awards, which honors the “movers and shakers who exemplify true excellence in their careers and who also contribute to their communities and the industry as a whole.” SFNet’s 40 Under 40 recipients are the future of the secured finance community.”
Holly is a partner in the Finance Practice Group in Haynes Boone’s Charlotte and New York offices. Her practice focuses on representing lenders in fund finance transactions, where Haynes Boone is a market leader nationally. Holly is a trusted advisor to banks and other financial institutions on the structuring, negotiation and documentation of subscription credit facilities to funds established by some of the largest PE sponsors in the world, other secured and unsecured lending arrangements, management fee lines, GP lines, employee co-invest loans and other fund finance products that benefit PE sponsors and their investors.
