Haynes Boone has announced that Partners Justin Riess and Tim Johnston have been named co-chairs of the firm’s Leveraged Finance Practice Group. These moves reflect the continued growth and strategic importance of the firm’s leveraged finance capabilities. The Leveraged Finance Practice Group is part of the firm’s overall finance department, featuring over 170 attorneys across several practice areas within finance.
Riess previously served as managing partner of the firm’s Charlotte office, where he helped oversee its expansion in one of the country’s leading financial centers. Johnston is based in the firm’s Dallas office headquarters and leads the asset-based lending team.
“Justin and Tim are exceptional leaders who have played key roles in the growth of our finance platform,” New York Office Managing Partner Craig Unterberg said. “Justin has been instrumental in building our presence in Charlotte, and together with Tim, he will help lead the continued expansion of our leveraged finance practice in the markets and industries where we see the greatest opportunities.”
In their new roles, Riess and Johnston will guide the strategic direction of the firm’s Leveraged Finance Practice Group, focusing on expanding the practice in key markets and continuing to grow the firm’s capabilities across syndicated finance, middle-market finance, asset-based lending and private credit.
