Roger Royse, Philip Albert and Alfredo Amoedo Selected for 2021 Super Lawyers/Rising Stars Directories

Haynes and Boone, LLP Partners Roger Royse and Philip Albert have been included in the 2021 North California Super Lawyers directory, published by Thomson Reuters.

Associate Alfredo Amoedo was selected for the companion 2021 Northern California Rising Stars directory.

Super Lawyers recognizes the top lawyers in Northern California annually, via a multiphase selection process involving peer nomination, independent research, and peer evaluation. Only five percent of the total lawyers in a state are selected for inclusion in Super Lawyers. To be eligible for inclusion in the Rising Stars directory, which follows a similar selection process as Super Lawyers, a candidate must be 40 years of age or younger or in practice for 10 years or less. No more than 2.5 percent of lawyers in a state are choses as Rising Stars.

Roger Royse

Based in Palo Alto, Roger practices in the areas of corporate and securities law, domestic and international tax, mergers and acquisitions, and fund formation. He works with companies ranging from newly formed tech startups to publicly traded multinationals in a variety of industries. He is a Fellow of the American College of Tax Counsel and former chair of several committees of the American Bar Association Sections of Business Law and Taxation.

Philip Albert

Philip is a San Francisco-based partner in the Intellectual Property Practice Group. His practice focuses on patent prosecution, setting up internal patent review protocols for clients, evaluating patents of others for purchase, licensing, or design-around, addressing intellectual property components of transactions or due diligence project, and open-source licensing advice. He deals with clients in a wide variety of technology areas, such as computer graphics, satellite communications, network security, and cryptocurrencies.

Alfredo Amoedo

Alfredo is a litigation associate in the San Francisco office. His practice focuses on assisting clients at all stages of litigation, from pre-suit demands through trial, and has handled litigation matters involving intellectual property, securities, unfair competition, consumer fraud, and consumer class actions.
