Ready to Rally: Lawyer Larry Pascal Heads to (Padel) Court for Senior World Championship

March 23, 2022

Haynes Boone Partner Larry Pascal has been selected to represent the U.S. in the Electrolit Senior Padel World Championships in Las Vegas from March 28 to April 2. This event will be the largest and most important padel event ever held in North America.

The tournament, organized by United States Padel Association (USPA) with the support of International Padel Federation (FIP) and the American Padel Federation (APF), will feature more than 500 players from around the world in the over-35 age group. Thirty-two teams of men and women representing 18 countries will participate.

Pascal, a former Division 1 college tennis player at the University of Kansas, has been competing in padel events since its relatively recent arrival in the North Texas area at the T Bar M Racquet Club Racquet Club. He has won four USPA Advanced level events in his career.

Representing his country in international competition for the first time, the Las Vegas event enables Pascal to combine his professional and personal interests. He has advised racquet club developers in the financing of racquet clubs at Haynes Boone, where he advises clients on a variety of cross-border transactions. In May 2021, Pascal led a legal team that advised clients Fernando Alarcon and Ultra Padel in an international private offering that raised capital for the construction of a Padel club in Miami.

More information on the USPA, padel in general, and the instructions for watching the Las Vegas event can be found at http://www.padelusa.org/. Matches will be streamed on the FIP YouTube Channel.
