Seth Farber Joins Haynes Boone to Support Growth in White Collar and Investigations Practice

February 03, 2026

Haynes Boone is pleased to announce the addition of Seth Farber to its White Collar and Investigations Practice. Based in the firm’s newly remodeled and expanded New York office, Farber will work with Partner Richard Weber, who joined Haynes Boone in August 2025, to support the continued growth of the practice. Their efforts will further strengthen the firm’s white-collar defense, government enforcement and New York litigation capabilities.

Prior to joining Haynes Boone, Farber spent more than a decade as a partner at Winston & Strawn, where he previously served as head of the firm’s New York litigation practice and as co-chair of its white-collar practice. His practice focuses on white‑collar criminal defense, government investigations and business litigation, including parallel civil and regulatory proceedings, securities and insider‑trading matters, tax‑fraud cases, antitrust disputes and financial‑crime compliance.

A former federal prosecutor in the Southern District of New York, Farber has tried numerous federal and state cases before juries in a variety of jurisdictions and argued civil and criminal appeals in multiple federal circuits. He has appeared before a wide range of enforcement authorities, including several Securities and Exchange Commission offices, the Office of Foreign Assets Control and the New York State Attorney General’s Office.

Farber’s experience includes handling matters across the United States and advising clients around the world, including those in Mexico, Argentina, Italy, Germany and Japan, among others.

He has held numerous leadership roles in the New York Bar, including as a trustee of the Federal Bar Council, chair of the New York City Bar Associaton’s Dewey Medal Committee and a member of the Executive Committee of the New York State Bar Association’s Antitrust Section.

Drawn by Haynes Boone’s strong track record in litigation and white‑collar defense, as well as the firm’s strategic growth in New York, Farber said, “Haynes Boone has built a reputation for excellence by investing in its people and practices. The firm’s focus on expanding its litigation and white-collar practice aligns perfectly with my work and vision, and I look forward to collaborating with Rich to help take this practice to the next level.”

“I am thrilled to welcome Seth to Haynes Boone,” said Weber, chair of the firm’s Financial Services Investigations and Enforcement Practice. “He brings a unique combination of trial experience, government service and sophisticated defense work. Seth’s judgement and background make him a powerful resource for our clients navigating their most sensitive and complex matters, and he is an exceptional addition to our bench in New York.”

Haynes Boone’s White Collar and Investigations Practice represents companies and executives in complex government investigations, enforcement actions and criminal matters.
