Michael Byrne
Biography
Michael Byrne is an associate in the finance group in Haynes Boone’s London office.
Michael specialises in cross-border finance transactions and advises financial institutions, private equity sponsors, and corporate borrowers on a wide range of domestic and international financing matters, including syndicated lending, acquisition finance, project finance, and structured finance transactions.
Michael has significant experience in multi-jurisdictional deal execution, including coordinating global counsel and navigating diverse cultural, legal and regulatory frameworks to deliver seamless, commercially focused solutions to his clients. Michael regularly assists clients in structuring and negotiating credit agreements, security packages, intercreditor arrangements, and other key transaction documentation.

- Acted for Citibank on the European security package supporting a New York law RCF.
- Acted for a large Dutch shipyard on the funding it made available to a UK shipbuilder.
- Acted for a UK litigation funder on its first term facility with a New York fund.
