Karina Sigar Oshunkentan

Karina Oshunkentan is a member of the Finance Practice Group in the Washington, D.C. office of Haynes Boone. Her practice focuses on fund finance and acquisition financing supporting M&A transactions. She represents leading global financial institutions in the fund finance market. She also represents private equity sponsors in acquisitions of middle market companies financed through senior secured bank credit facilities, sponsor mezzanine debt, and sponsor equity.

Karina regularly advises banks and other credit providers on a range of fund-level liquidity solutions. These include subscription lines of credit ranging from capital call facilities to broadly syndicated facilities with complex multi-jurisdictional fund structures. She also works on management fee and employee co-invest lines, partner loan programs, and net asset value (NAV) and hybrid facilities. On the sponsor side, she acts as borrower’s counsel in leveraged buyouts and add-on acquisitions. She also represents sponsors as lenders in their mezzanine financings. Her broader experience includes project finance and asset-based lending.

Karina chairs the Washington, DC Office’s Inclusion and Integration Committee.
