Biography

Annie Ticknor represents clients in complex, high-stakes disputes across a broad range of industries and subject matters nationwide. Whether managing large-scale class actions or high-value individual disputes, she brings a consistent focus on practical risk assessment and results-driven strategy. Her practice has particular depth in privacy litigation, construction and real estate disputes and class action defense for food and beverage companies.

Annie counsels and defends clients against claims arising under federal and state privacy statutes, including the California Invasion of Privacy Act, the California Consumer Privacy Act, and state and federal wiretapping laws. She represents companies in both individual lawsuits and putative class actions and advises on litigation risk, regulatory exposure and compliance strategies. Her work on the front end — including pre-litigation risk evaluations — helps clients reduce exposure before disputes arise.

Annie's construction and real estate practice spans the full lifecycle of commercial, residential and mixed-use projects, including multimillion-dollar development disputes. She represents owners, developers and contractors in matters ranging from construction defect and breach of contract claims to title and boundary conflicts, landlord-tenant disputes and fraud and misrepresentation allegations. She is experienced in resolving these disputes through negotiation, mediation, arbitration and trial, and tailors her approach to each client's commercial objectives and long-term business relationships.

A significant component of Annie's practice is defending food and beverage companies in consumer class actions alleging false advertising, deceptive labeling and violations of California’s Proposition 65. She has extensive experience managing the unique procedural and substantive challenges these cases present, including securing early-stage dismissals and has built a strong track record of obtaining favorable rulings and negotiating advantageous settlements when appropriate.
