Michael Wheaton

Michael Wheaton is an associate in the Finance Practice Group in Haynes Boone's Charlotte office.

Michael practice focuses on representing banks, financial institutions, private credit funds, hedge funds and borrowers in a variety of lending transactions, including bilateral and syndicated credit facilities, subscription secured finance, acquisition financing, and other secured lending transactions.

Michael also represents issuers, managers, purchasers and lenders in a variety of structured finance and securitization transactions. He has experience in a broad array of structured finance products, including collateralized loan obligations (CLOs), asset-backed commercial paper conduit programs, asset based lending, and rated note feeders.

Through his pro bono work, Michael has also had the privilege of representing military veterans in all branches of service in discharge upgrade requests, expungement requests, and various other issues.
