Haynes and Boone, LLP Associate CJ Donald has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers (DAYL) for 2020.
As a board member, Donald will be responsible for supporting DAYL membership efforts, organizing events, and fundraising. He will also serve as a liaison between the Board and two committees regarding committee projects, service efforts and professional development opportunities.
Donald has been involved with DAYL since he was a first-year lawyer. He has been an active member of the Equal Access to Justice Committee, where he served as co-chair. The committee focuses on providing increased access to the justice system for traditionally disadvantaged segments of the community.
Comprising about 3,000 attorneys, DAYL is the only bar organization in Dallas dedicated exclusively to the needs of young lawyers and the community service projects about which they are most passionate. The organization’s goals are to improve the quality of life for all young lawyers and to serve the Dallas community.
DAYL members make and benefit from countless contributions to their profession and their community by volunteering their time and talents to organize approximately 150 projects each year and contributing thousands of volunteer hours throughout the year.
Donald works in the firm’s Finance Practice Group and serves as Co-Secretary and Membership Committee Member for the Genesis Young Leaders Board of Directors (2019-2020). He is also an Associate in the Patrick E. Higginbotham American Inn of Court (2019-2020).
