Counsel Jennifer Ingram Joins Haynes and Boone Employment Practice Group in San Antonio

October 15, 2019

Jennifer Beth Ingram has joined Haynes and Boone, LLP as a counsel in the Labor and Employment Practice Group. She is based in the firm’s San Antonio office.

Most recently, Ingram served as vice president and associate general counsel at Sally Beauty Holdings, Inc. and its subsidiaries. In her role as associate general counsel, Ingram managed the company’s labor and employment, litigation, regulatory and environmental compliance, and intellectual property. She also oversaw contracts, data privacy and security, immigration, risk management, and acquisition due diligence functions. The Sally Beauty business unit recognized Ingram as their inaugural Cross-Functional Partner of the Year in 2017.

In 2017, D CEO named Ingram Outstanding Deputy/Associate General Counsel of the Year for a small legal department. Previously, she served as a litigation partner at Munck Wilson Mandala LLP, where she was named to the Super Lawyers and Rising Stars lists from 2011 to 2014.

Ingram is a dynamic and collaborative business partner who tailors legal advice and risk assessment to business needs and objectives.

“Jennifer is a quick thinker, responder and planner who can see the bigger picture without losing sight of the individual details,” said Partner Laura O’Donnell, co-chair of the firm’s Litigation Practice Group. “She is dedicated to client service, and her diverse professional experience makes her adept at understanding her clients’ problems.”

Ingram became interested in Haynes and Boone because of Tiffany Cooke, a former Munck colleague who is now an associate at Haynes and Boone.

“Tiffany encouraged me to look at Haynes and Boone. She extolled the firm’s culture and lawyers’ collaborative approach to focusing on the clients’ best interests,” Ingram said. “I was also attracted to Haynes and Boone because of its first-rate labor and employment group in San Antonio.”

Having grown up in the McAllen and San Antonio areas, Ingram wanted to return to San Antonio to be closer to family. She moved from Dallas to San Antonio last month with her rescue dogs. Ingram also enjoys giving back to the community and is involved with DFW Pug Rescue, DFW Dachshund Rescue Foundation, North Texas Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and JDRF.

Members of Haynes and Boone’s Labor and Employment Practice Group are equally adept in the boardroom and the courtroom. Lawyers routinely counsel and train executives and managers on significant labor and employment issues, and clients rely on the experienced litigators in the group to achieve successful results. Chambers USA has recognized the firm’s lawyers as “[g]ood strategists,” noting that “[t]hey are consistently spot on.”
