“We might now see the UK seek to retain its membership of the EU single market through renewed membership of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) — the so-called Norway option,” says Glenn Kangisser, of Haynes Boone CDG. “If that becomes official government policy, we’re already slow out of the blocks to obtain the agreement of all 27 EU members and the four members of EFTA before March 2019.”
