Haynes and Boone, LLP Partner Frasher Murphy, chair of the firm’s restructuring practice group, ranks among the nation’s Top 50 restructuring lawyers, according to the Global M&A Network’s 2022 listing of the nation’s leading restructuring professionals.
Global M&A Network said that its “highly competitive” selection process was based on an evaluation of the best performing firms and most successful restructuring transactions from the previous year.

Over the course of two decades, Frasher has handled numerous complex Chapter 11 cases, out-of-court workout matters, and distressed mergers and acquisitions. He also has substantial experience representing both creditors and debtors in Article 9 sale transactions. His clients include debtors, traditional and nontraditional secured lenders, post-petition lenders, bondholders, asset purchasers, and all other types of secured and unsecured creditors.
Frasher was part of the Haynes Boone team that won a 2022 Middle Market Turnaround Atlas Award for its work on the Chapter 11 restructuring of Sundance Energy Inc. Haynes Boone represented the administrative agent for the senior secured lenders in the Chapter 11 of Sundance, a North America onshore independent oil and natural gas company, including the $137.5 million exit credit facility supporting the restructuring. The restructuring was achieved through a prepackaged plan of reorganization, which was supported by 100% of the senior secured lenders. The reorganization was confirmed in 2021 by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas.
The Haynes Boone Restructuring Practice Group handles issues in large and complex out-of-court financial restructurings and Chapter 11 reorganization cases. The Chambers USA 2022 directory (Chambers and Partners) ranked the practice as a market leader in Texas – with more individually ranked lawyers in Texas than any other Band 1 firm.
