Haynes Boone Strengthens New York Real Estate Practice With Partner Adam L. Hirst

October 13, 2026

Haynes Boone has added Adam L. Hirst as a Partner in its New York office, expanding the firm’s nationally recognized Real Estate Practice with a sophisticated transactional lawyer who advises clients across the full range of real estate matters.

Hirst represents real estate lenders, owners, operators, developers and investors in complex transactions in New York City and throughout the United States, including loan originations, acquisitions and dispositions, joint ventures, development and redevelopment projects, borrower-side financings, land development, property management arrangements, distressed real estate transactions and other sophisticated matters involving real estate assets and capital.

“Adam brings a valuable combination of lender-side and owner-side experience that complements the depth of our Real Estate Practice,” said Haynes Boone Real Estate Co-Chair Brad Lavender. “His widespread transactional perspective and relationships across the real estate industry will further enhance our full-service practice. We are excited to welcome him to the firm.”

Among his notable client work, Hirst has advised a non-bank lender in connection with the origination of a $180 million acquisition and redevelopment financing secured by a single-tenant office property, a bank lender in connection with an approximately $100 million loan sale and associated deed-in-lieu of foreclosure transaction and a private equity firm in connection with the financing and formation of a multiparty, multitiered joint venture to convert and redevelop retail and residential condominiums in New York City.

“Haynes Boone has the people, platform and collaborative culture to allow me to scale a sophisticated, broad-based real estate practice,” Hirst said. “I am very excited to join and contribute to the growing New York office.”

Hirst also has experience advising clients on matters beyond individual transactions, taking an outside general counsel approach to help clients navigate their broader business and legal needs. His clients are based throughout the United States and internationally, while his transactions span markets across the country.

Hirst also will contribute to Haynes Boone’s growing work in the data center sector. His practice increasingly includes representing lenders involved in data center transactions, an area he said was an important part of the appeal of joining the firm given its capabilities across real estate, energy and related areas.

Hirst joins a growing Real Estate Practice that has added significant talent in the past year, including New York attorneys Jeffrey Moerdler, Stephen Friedberg and Christopher Pennington and London attorneys Angus Ford and Martha Williams. The additions reflect the firm’s continued investment in expanding its real estate capabilities across key U.S. and international markets.
