Haynes Boone has strengthened its London real estate capabilities with the addition of Partner Angus Ford and Counsel Martha Williams, bolstering the firm’s growing focus on data centers, logistics and living sector development and investment. Ford and Williams join Haynes Boone from Brown Rudnick, bringing extensive combined experience advising on complex, high-value real estate transactions across the United Kingdom and globally.
Their practice spans all real estate sectors supporting investors, developers, funders and occupiers through the full lifecycle of real estate assets.
Ford, most recently head of UK and European real estate at Brown Rudnick, has built a market-leading practice advising on logistics platforms, institutional investment portfolios and large-scale residential developments, including build-to-rent projects.
Williams, a senior data center and real estate counsel who recently completed a two-year secondment driving significant expansion for a global hyperscaler, is widely recognized for her work in the data center sector and has significant in-house and outside counsel experience advising on complex data center projects across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
“Angus and Martha are a tremendous addition to our London office and to our global real estate platform,” said London Office Managing Partner Nick Davis. “Their experience in global real estate aligns directly with areas of significant client demand and strategic growth for the firm. Just as importantly, they bring a collaborative approach and strong client relationships that will further enhance our capabilities in London and across our international platform.”
Ford and Williams have worked together for more than a decade, developing a highly integrated practice and advising on real estate matters for a global online retailer, as well as major institutional investors and developers. Together, they bring a wealth of knowledge navigating sophisticated, time-sensitive transactions and coordinating across jurisdictions, positioning them to support clients operating at scale around the globe.
“We are excited to join Haynes Boone at a time of significant opportunity in the real estate market,” said Ford. “The firm’s strong, full-service platform in the United States, combined with its clear investment in London, creates a compelling environment for us to grow our practice and deliver for our clients.”
The additions of Ford and Williams reflect Haynes Boone’s continued investment in its global data center and digital infrastructure capabilities, following the arrival of Partners Jeffrey Moerdler and Stephen Friedberg in New York earlier this year. Moerdler, who serves as chair of the firm’s Data Centers and Digital Infrastructure Practice Group, and Friedberg bring decades of experience advising on complex data center and large-scale real estate transactions, reflecting the firm’s strategic focus on meeting growing client demand driven by artificial intelligence and digital infrastructure expansion.
Haynes Boone’s London office continues to see significant momentum following its relocation to a larger space in the City of London at the end of 2025 to support continued growth. Now in its second decade, the office has expanded both headcount and capabilities while driving a surge in deal activity across key practice areas, including real estate, finance and energy. The office plays a critical role in the firm’s transatlantic platform, serving as a hub for cross-border work and positioning Haynes Boone to capitalize on increasing demand across Europe and beyond.
