Haynes Boone advised Zeus Capital Ltd as nominated adviser, broker and sole bookrunner to Star Energy Group PLC on its successful £8.5 million institutional placing, alongside director subscriptions and a retail offer.
Star Energy Group is a British energy company focused on oil and gas extraction, with its ordinary shares traded on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange.
The deal included an institutional placing that raised approximately £8.5 million before expenses, director subscriptions totaling approximately £31,000 and a retail offer of up to £0.6 million and is subject to shareholder approval, due to be given at the end of the month. Proceeds are expected to support Star Energy Group’s expansion and operational growth initiatives.
The Haynes Boone team advising on the transaction was led by London Capital Markets Partner Nick Heap, with support from Associate Ravina Mahajan and Trainee Solicitor Ziv Gould.
“This transaction highlights continued investor appetite for strategic fundraising opportunities in the UK energy sector,” said Heap. “We were pleased to support Zeus Capital on this important transaction for Star Energy as the company advances its growth strategy.”
This transaction further strengthens Haynes Boone’s strong track record advising clients on AIM. The firm was featured in The Lawyer last year following a standout period representing AIM-listed clients, and its latest rankings reinforce that momentum, placing Haynes Boone No. 1 among U.S. law firms by number of AIM clients.
