Haynes and Boone, LLP Partner Shelley Rosensweig is included in The Hedge Fund Journal’s prestigious ranking of the 50 Leading Women in Hedge Funds 2022.

Released Nov. 9 and published in association with Ernst & Young LLP, the 10th edition of the ranking features leading fund managers, investment professionals and lawyers worldwide.

In a profile of Shelley, The Hedge Fund Journal notes that she “co-launched and co-leads Haynes Boone’s New York hedge fund practice which has grown by over 500% since 2017. In [the] last two years she has acted as outside counsel for more than 100 alternative fund structures including hedge funds in global macro, long/short equity, fixed income arbitrage, event driven and cryptocurrency (such as NFT, blockchain and DeFi) strategies as well as private equity, private credit and private equity real estate funds.”

A New York-based partner in Haynes Boone’s Investment Management and Private Equity Practice Groups, Shelley structures, designs and organizes U.S. and non-U.S. private investment funds and assists clients with seed capital arrangements, the operation of managed account platforms, and the organization and design of joint ventures, SPVs and other co-investment structures. Shelley also advises clients with respect to SEC, FINRA and CFTC regulatory and compliance matters, family office-related matters, trading issues and employment matters.

“Shelley has been instrumental in the dynamic growth of our hedge fund practice and is a tremendous asset to our clients,” said Haynes Boone Partner Vicki Odette, chair of the firm’s Investment Management Practice Group. “She rightly deserves to be considered among the leading women in the hedge fund industry.”

The Hedge Fund Journal further praised Shelley for representing “Forbes 400 families, multi-billion-dollar alternative investment firms and institutional investors,” adding: “She sits on [her] firm’s global business development committee, has authored numerous Haynes Boone publications and articles, and is a regular speaker at industry events.”
