Haynes and Boone Makes U.S. News 2018 'Best Law Firms' Listing

Haynes and Boone, LLP again has been featured in the U.S. News & World Report and Best Lawyers® “Best Law Firms” survey, with national rankings in 34 practice areas and regional rankings in 88 practice areas for the 2018 edition.

The firm was ranked in National Tier 1, the highest level, for eight practice areas: appellate; bankruptcy and creditor debtor rights/insolvency and reorganization law; commercial litigation; environmental law; litigation – environmental; oil & gas law; project finance law; and real estate law.

Eleven areas received National Tier 2 rankings: banking and finance law, corporate law, criminal defense: white-collar, energy law, litigation – bankruptcy, litigation - intellectual property, litigation - labor & employment, litigation - regulatory enforcement (SEC, telecom, energy), mining law, natural resources law and technology law. 

And National Tier 3 rankings went to 15 areas: antitrust law, derivatives and futures law, employee benefits (ERISA) law, franchise law, litigation – antitrust, litigation – construction, litigation - First Amendment, litigation - mergers & acquisitions, litigation – patent, litigation – securities, securities/capital markets law, sports law, tax law, trademark law and trusts & estates law.

The Best Law Firms survey ranks firms in 75 national practice areas and in 122 regional practice areas. The rankings are determined from client and lawyer evaluations, peer review from leading attorneys in their field and additional information provided by law firms.

In practice areas ranked by metropolitan regions, the firm posted first-tier rankings in the in the Austin, Denver, Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston, New York City, Orange County, San Antonio and Washington, D.C., offices.
