After the Texas State Securities Board filed an emergency cease and desist order against an oil and gas company alleging unregistered sale of securities and fraud, Haynes and Boone investigated the allegations and persuaded the TSSB that the company had not offered securities in Texas. The TSSB agreed to dismiss the case and set aside the emergency cease and desist order.
