Five Haynes and Boone, LLP lawyers have been featured in the 2021 edition of the Chambers Global directory of the leading providers of legal services in the international marketplace.
Researchers and clients praised the firm, along with individual lawyers and a number of practice areas, which were recognized as industry leaders in the United States, Mexico and Latin America.
Global Rankings
Haynes and Boone’s Franchise and Distribution Practice Group was again recognized in the global-wide category. Chambers notes that the firm has “notable expertise in the restaurant and hospitality sectors.” In addition to strong problem-solving skills, clients say that the firm’s “greatest strengths would be their quick and comprehensive responses.”
In the global-wide category, Chambers also ranked Partner Rob Lauer, co-head of the Franchise and Distribution Practice Group. Lauer is lauded for his “sophisticated and expansive knowledge about international franchising, and relationships abroad to tap for quick answers when necessary."
Mexico Rankings
In the Tax: Non-Contentious practice category, Edgar Klee, partner and administrative partner of Haynes and Boone's Mexico City office, is praised in the directory as "a very good tax lawyer.”
U.S. Rankings
In the Bankruptcy/Restructuring Practice Group, Partner Charlie Beckham was ranked for his “expertise in bankruptcy matters relating to the oil and gas industry”, and “additional experience in the media sector.” Clients note that Beckham is “very easy to work and communicate with."
Partner and Firm Co-Founder Michael Boone was ranked in the Corporate/M&A (International & Cross-Border) Practice Group in recognition of his “longstanding corporate practice” and experience “across the full spectrum of transactional work.”
Chambers again highly ranked Partner David McCombs in the Intellectual Property – Patent category. He is described by sources as "a terrific lawyer" and "a leading authority on inter partes proceedings.
