Haynes Boone Lawyers Featured in Chambers Global 2022 Directory

Six Haynes and Boone, LLP lawyers are ranked in the 2022 edition of the Chambers Global directory of the leading providers of legal services in the international marketplace.

 

Chambers is one of the world's leading legal research companies, developing rankings and offering insight about law firms across 200 jurisdictions. Chambers researchers praised Haynes Boone and the ranked lawyers, who were recognized as industry leaders globally and in the U.S., UK and Mexico markets.

 

Global Rankings

 

Chambers ranks Partner Rob Lauer, co-chair of the firm’s Franchise and Distribution Practice Group, among the Top 15 lawyers globally in Franchising. Lauer is hailed as a “good choice of counsel for franchisors seeking advice on international expansion, offering considerable experience in a range of global jurisdictions. He is also skilled at handling contentious matters, including pre-litigation franchise disputes.”

 

U.S. Rankings

 

Partner and Firm Co-Founder Michael Boone is ranked in the Corporate/M&A (International & Cross-Border) Practice, drawing praise for being “highly experienced across the full spectrum of transactional work.”

 

In the Intellectual Property - Patents Practice, Partner David McCombs is recognized for “regularly representing corporations in [inter partes review proceedings], patent litigation and appeals.”

 

Chambers Global 2022 also ranks Partner Matthew Frankle as a U.S. leader in Derivatives and quoted clients who said: "He is very well-versed in all of the aspects of margin loans, both financing and the UCC9” and “has business and legal expertise in equity derivatives and margin loans."

 

UK Rankings

 

Partner Melanie Willems, chair of the International Arbitration Practice Group in the London office, is ranked as a top UK lawyer in Dispute Resolution: International Arbitration.

Mexico Rankings

 

In the Tax: Non-Contentious practice category, Edgar Klee, partner and administrative partner of Haynes Boone's Mexico City office, is recognized in Chambers Global for “assisting clients with non-contentious tax mandates in Mexico.” The directory quoted a market insider, who said: “Edgar Klee is excellent in tax structuring and is a skilled and renowned lawyer in this area.”
