Haynes Boone Represents Fermi America in $350 Million Financings Led by Macquarie to Power AI Infrastructure Growth

September 03, 2025

Haynes Boone advised Fermi America, a company developing the world's largest, behind-the-meter artificial intelligence private grid campus, in the successful close of its $100 million Series C preferred equity financing round led by Macquarie Group, alongside the establishment of a $250 million senior loan facility with Macquarie Equipment Finance.

These financings mark a major milestone for Fermi America as it accelerates the velocity of execution of the HyperGrid Project, which is a collaboration with the Texas Tech University System to create one of the most significant power campuses in the U.S. and the largest advanced energy, private grid and intelligence development in the world.

The Haynes Boone deal team representing Fermi was led by Larry Shosid, Sakina Rasheed Foster, Logan Weissler, Cody Cravens and Michael DePompei, with assistance from Susan Wetzel and Matt Fry.

Haynes Boone also advised on Fermi’s previous venture rounds.
