Haynes Boone is pleased to announce that Partner E. Perry Hicks has joined the firm in its Fund Finance Practice Group, further strengthening the firm’s global fund finance platform amid continued growth and client demand. Hicks joins Haynes Boone in Charlotte, a key hub for the firm’s fund finance practice and broader platform.
Hicks brings two decades of experience advising leading global financial institutions in fund finance transactions, with a deep knowledge of traditional fund financing transactions that includes net asset value (NAV) financings, subscription credit facilities and hybrid facilities, as well as experience in more recent fund finance market developments that includes private credit transactions and anticipation of securitization structures.
“Haynes Boone has been a leader in fund finance since the earliest days of the market, and the firm’s reputation, platform and culture made this a natural next step,” Hicks said. “I am excited to join a team with such reputable experience and continue building durable client relationships around the world as the market continues to evolve.”
Hicks has maintained long-term relationships with many of the world’s leading financial institutions. His practice complements Haynes Boone’s full-service fund finance capabilities across North America, Europe, Asia and Latin America, while contributing to the firm’s continued long-term investment in Charlotte.
“Perry’s arrival reflects the depth, continuity and momentum of our fund finance platform,” said Deborah Low, co-head of Haynes Boone’s Fund Finance Practice Group. “He brings long-standing client relationships, technical sophistication and a collaborative approach that aligns seamlessly with how our team supports clients across the market.”
Hicks is a regent in the American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers, a premier professional organization and honorary society for lawyers, jurists and academics who have distinguished themselves in the field of commercial finance law. Additionally, Hicks has been a regular contributor to thought leadership in the fund finance space.
The addition of Hicks follows the firm’s recent announcement naming Deborah Low and Brent Shultz as co-heads of the Fund Finance Practice Group, alongside Global Head Albert Tan, underscoring Haynes Boone’s long-term investment in leadership, bench strength and client service.
