Haynes Boone Ranks Among Top 10 Busiest M&A Practices in 1H 2022

The Texas Lawbook has reported that Haynes and Boone, LLP ranked as the state’s 9th most active deal firm in the first six months of 2022.

The Lawbook’s Corporate Deal Tracker counts transactions in which Texas lawyers played a significant role on behalf of principals or third parties.

Haynes Boone additionally ranked 11th in the Corporate Deal Tracker ranking of M&A firms by deal value.

Two Haynes Boone deal teams will receive deal of the year awards from The M&A Advisor at the 13th-Annual International M&A Awards gala on Sept. 21 in New York.

Haynes Boone was recognized by The M&A Advisor for the following deals:

  • Partners Simin Sun and Jeff Wolfson represented Strides Pharma Science whose wholly owned subsidiaries entered into definitive agreements with subsidiaries of Endo International to acquire its manufacturing facility in New York and various Abbreviated New Drug Applications (ANDAs).
  • Generational Equity, a leading M&A advisor for privately held businesses, sold its client, Eastern Business Forms, Inc. (EBF), to private investment firm Gen Cap America. Partner Blaine Statham and Associate Chase Proctor represented EBF in the transaction.

And earlier this year, the Global M&A Network, sponsor of the M&A Atlas Awards, honored Haynes Boone with a mid-market deal of the year for its representation of Earthstone Energy Inc. in its acquisition of Permian Basin operator Chisholm Energy Holdings LLC, in a cash-and-stock transaction worth over $600 million.
